Why does the photo quality decrease after uploading?

Why does the photo quality decrease after uploading?

If after uploading an image to a standard or Zero block you have noticed that it has become blurry or the quality has decreased, this may be due to the optimization settings on the Tilda side. Please try the following steps to fix the problem:

1) Disable Lazy Load

Go to Site Settings → More, disable the Lazy Load setting, then save the changes, publish the page, and clear the browser cache.

2) If the image looks better:

  •     Turn Lazy Load back on — this is necessary to access additional settings.
  •     Then switch off adaptive image optimization. This feature automatically reduces the images' size to fit different screens, but sometimes it affects the clarity.

  • Save the changes and republish the page.

3) Optimize the images before uploading them

Tilda automatically scales images if they are too large. To avoid losing the quality:

  •     Use optimization services such as tinypng.com.
  •     Upload images of the appropriate size and with the correct aspect ratio.
